1:1 Artists Business mentorship

I've spent over 30 years building and running a professional design business. I know what it takes to sustain a creative practice — to price your work, manage client relationships, build a reputation, and grow an income that reflects the quality of what you do. That knowledge didn't come from a textbook. It came from doing it, year after year, in one of the most competitive creative markets in the world.

More recently, I completed both a Master of Arts in Arts Management and a Master of Fine Arts — and what struck me most was how rarely the art world teaches artists the practical side of running their practice as a business. The gap between making serious work and building a sustainable career is real, and it doesn't have to be.

What I bring to these sessions is the business knowledge that 30 years of professional practice gives you: on pricing, positioning, client relationships, and building something that lasts — combined with a deep understanding of the art world's specific landscape: how galleries work, what grant panels look for, how collectors think, and how to present your practice with confidence and clarity.

I work with emerging and mid-career artists who are ready to take their practice seriously as a business. If that's you, I'd love to work with you.

This is an invitation to dive deeply into your art practice and create a workable plan to build the business side of your practice

your practice deserves a strategist, not just a cheerleader!

kind words from clients

I really appreciate this group, Sarah, because it's nice and intimate and we all sort of seem like we're on the same path. You know, some of the membership groups now, are so big, you just sort of get lost in the shuffle.

—Eliza

Sarah is one of the kindest, most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Relentlessly supportive, she wants to help and uplift everyone she meets. Every collaboration she participates in is better for her being there. Accountable, professional, Sarah's spirit is as beautiful as her photography and art work.

—Marisa
